17th June 2012

This day in Sex Pistols history… June 17th 1977. ‘God Save The Queen’ reaches number 2 in the UK single’s charts. Not number 1. Even though it technically out-sold the Number 1 record of the week (The First Cut is the Deepest by Rod Stewart). ‘GSTQ’ sold more than 150,000 copies in just 5 days.
