Re-recorded version of the classic Pistols single as featured in
the 'Guitar Hero World Tour' video game. Released in October
2007 – along with 'Anarchy in the UK' – as an individual download single
exclusively via iTunes.
After being approached for inclusion in 'Guitar Hero III' it was
discovered the original multi-track masters for 'Pretty Vacant' and
'Anarchy in the UK' had been misplaced; Activision then invited the
band to re-record them instead.
Both tracks were re-recorded especially for use in the 'Guitar Hero'
video game in 2007. 'Anarchy in the UK' appears in 'Guitar Hero III:
Legends of Rock'. 'Pretty Vacant' later appeared in 'Guitar Hero
World Tour'.
